How do we make instruction better? One big hurdle is\u00a0 &#8216;First Solo.&#8217;\u00a0 <em>We all remember that.\u00a0 It gave us the confidence we could do it! The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SSA<\/a> reports a lot of people aren&#8217;t getting to solo, let&#8217;s change that.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Encourage<\/strong> use of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.condorsoaring.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Condor.<\/a> With the advent of photo-realistic scenery it&#8217;s easy to show the student the local traffic pattern and landmarks.\u00a0 We can do a free landscape for your club, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soaringtools.org\/index.php\/request-a-free-landscape-for-your-club\/\">just complete this request form<\/a>.\u00a0<em> It takes a while to get used to how things look from the air &#8212; let&#8217;s do that sitting on the ground!<br \/>\n<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Promote<\/strong> use of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gliderbooks.com\/simulator-training?store-page=Mach-0-1-Simulated-Glider-Cockpit-p129741672\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mach 0.1 Simulator<\/a> and other simulators. Used by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.33fw.af.mil\/About-Us\/Fact-Sheets\/Article\/874069\/soaring-programs-at-usafa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">USAF Academy<\/a> in their soaring program &#8212; the cadets usually solo in twelve flights!\u00a0\u00a0 K<em>eeps them motivated early and ready for transition to powered aircraft.\u00a0 Yes, it costs a few bucks. But you get three newbies past solo and flying as members &#8212; it paid off!<br \/>\n<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Help<\/strong> clubs manage their membership, aircraft, and scheduling.
